Description

A. INVITATION The City of Sunnyvale (the “City”) is seeking Proposals from qualified consultants to perform an analysis on the following three intersections along Fair Oaks Avenue to evaluate and recommend the potential implementation of a full traffic signal, traffic circle or a pedestrian hybrid beacon (formerly known as High-Intensity Activated CrossWalk beacon:) • Balsam Avenue • East Taylor Avenue • McKinley Avenue Fair Oaks Avenue is a north-south Class I Arterial between Fair Oaks Way and N. Wolfe Road, and a Class II Arterial between N. Wolfe Road and El Camino Real. The Roadway becomes E. Java Drive north of Fair Oaks Way, and E. Remington Drive south of El Camino Real. The study shall provide a recommendation on implementation of traffic signal, traffic circle or a pedestrian hybrid beacon, or no improvements at each of the intersections listed above. B. PROJECT DESCRIPTION Listed below are the specific tasks that will be expected from the consultant. A detailed description of each task will follow. The consultant shall review the details associated with the specific tasks and propose their approach for delivering on each of these items. The Consultant shall complete the Project within twelve (12) months following the City’s Notice to Proceed, unless otherwise approved in writing by the City.The consultant is encouraged to provide input on specific items that they believe may be delivered more effectively than what is proposed in the task listing. • Task 1 – Project Management • Task 2 – Document and Project History Review • Task 3 – Existing Conditions Field Survey • Task 4 – Data Collection • Task 5 – Data Analysis • Task 6 – Recommendations • Task 7 – Public Meetings • Task 8 – Final Report Development • Task 9 – Concept Plans Electronic Deliverables, such as reports, maps, images, or presentation slides, that will be publicly available on City platforms must meet digital accessibility standards, Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Lev
