<p>A. INVITATION</p><p>The City of Sunnyvale is seeking proposals from licensed Architectural firms to provide professional</p><p>services for design and preparation of bid documents and construction support for the Performing Arts</p><p>Center Renovation Project. The scope of work generally includes preparation of: preliminary design,</p><p>design development, bid documents, and bidding/construction support for Public Works competitive</p><p>bidding. Ancillary work includes: environmental needs assessment and document preparation,</p><p>construction cost estimating, schedule monitoring, preparation of reports and recommendations, and</p><p>project management.</p><p></p><p>Location</p><p>The Performing Arts Center is located within the Sunnyvale Community Center at 550 E Remington Dr,</p><p>Sunnyvale, CA 94087. see Attachment 1, Project Location Map for reference</p><p></p><p>B. PROJECT DESCRIPTION</p><p>This project will renovate the facilities at the Performing Arts Center to maintain the current service levels for community recreation programs. This will include the replacement of theater seating, including addressing access and path of travel requirements, expansion of the existing restrooms into an adjacent office to be code compliant, rebuilding the theater stage and surfacing, replacement of quiet theater door closers, replacement of projection lighting, and converting lobby lighting to LED lighting.</p><p></p><p>All renovations shall comply with Title 24, California Codes of Regulations, Americans with Disability Act</p><p>(ADA) standards, California Building Code, and will be subject to review and approval by City’s Building</p><p>Department. If any existing electrical panels and subpanels will be impacted, it shall be redesigned and</p><p>restored to its original function.</p> <p>See RFP document for additional information.</p>
