Description
A. INVITATION The City of Sunnyvale (City) is seeking proposals from qualified firms to provide comprehensive crossing guard services that support the safe and orderly movement of students, families, and other pedestrians traveling to and from schools throughout Sunnyvale. The City intends to award one (1) agreement to the proposer that demonstrates the organizational capacity, relevant experience, reliable staffing resources, management systems, and overall approach necessary to provide safe, dependable, and cost-effective services. The selected proposer will be responsible for recruiting, screening, training, scheduling, supervising, and managing crossing guard personnel assigned to designated intersections, pathway crossings, mid-block crossings, and other locations identified by the City. Services are anticipated to be required during the regular school year, summer school sessions, and other school-related periods established by the City. Through this Request for Proposals (RFP), the City intends to select a proposer that can provide reliable staffing, effective supervision, consistent training, timely incident reporting, and sufficient personnel resources to maintain uninterrupted service throughout the contract term. B. PROJECT DESCRIPTION AND BACKGROUND 1.Description The City is soliciting proposals for a fully managed crossing guard services program. The selected proposer will provide all labor, supervision, administration, training, uniforms, equipment, scheduling, quality assurance, and other resources necessary to perform the required services. The proposer shall: •Maintain qualified crossing guards at all assigned locations and scheduled times; •Provide sufficient substitute personnel to address absences, vacancies, and other staffing disruptions; •Conduct appropriate employee screening and standardized initial and recurring training; •Provide field supervision and routinely verify that services are being performed as required; •Maintain accurate sch…
