On-Call Contracts for Traffic Engineering and Design Services

Description

The City of Sunnyvale (City) is accepting Statements of Qualifications (SOQs) from interested firms to establish on-call contracts for Traffic Engineering & Design Services in support of the Department of Public Works, Transportation & Traffic Division. It is anticipated that multiple on-call contracts will be awarded to the pre-qualified firms for an initial period of two (2) years, with an option to renew for three (3) additional one-year periods at the sole discretion of the City. The number of Firms selected will be at the sole discretion of the City and may be augmented, reduced, or terminated at any time. A contract award is not a guarantee of work. The main objective of this initiative is to enable the City to engage pre-approved Consultants to perform Traffic Engineering & Design Services. SOQs should only be submitted by licensed engineering firms with experience in one or more of the Service Categories listed below. When a future project is available the City will provide information about that project and consider the Consultants with on-call contracts awarded, to engage for that opportunity. Projects will be identified based on the Department needs and funding availability. Consultants that are awarded on-call contracts will be considered for work opportunities based upon qualifications relevant to each project. The City will request a cost proposal on a project-by-project basis. If a reasonable fee cannot be achieved with the Consultant of choice, negotiations will proceed with the other qualified On-Call Consultants until a mutual agreement is reached.
