Notice to Bidders Bid 26-036 Chicago Street Combined Sewer Separation Project Sealed Bids will be received by the City of Elgin, Illinois (Owner) electronically by the Purchasing Department, until 3:00 P.M., local time, on Thursday, November 5, 2026, for the Chicago Street Combined Sewer Separation Project. At said place and time, and promptly thereafter, all Bids that have been duly received will be publicly opened and read aloud. The specifications and bidding documents are available for viewing and download for no cost at: https://cityofelgin.ionwave.net/VendorRegistration/PreliminaryInfo.aspx, the City of Elgin’s electronic bidding web portal. An original bid bond (in the amount of 5% of the original bid amount) must be delivered to the City of Elgin Purchasing Department, 150 Dexter Court no later than 12:00 pm on November 5, 2026. All other bid documents shall be uploaded to https://cityofelgin.ionwave.net/CurrentSourcingEvents.aspx. Bidders may schedule an inspection to support their investigation of determining their cost to complete the work. Bidders desiring to set up an inspection should contact the project coordinator below. The proposed Work is generally described follows: This project in general (approximately 6,200 linear feet in length) includes but is not limited to furnishing all labor, materials, equipment and other as included items necessary for the completion of the following: • Installation of approximately 4,000’ of 12” to 48” storm sewer; • Installation of approximately 200’ of 10” to 36” sanitary sewer; • Installation of approximately 5,100’ of 4” to 16” water main; • Approximately 5,500’ of 6” to 36” sanitary sewer lining; • Approximately 6,700 SY of pavement removal; • Approximately 25,400 SY of pavement patching; • Approximately 18,300 SY pavement surface milling; • Approximately 900’ of curb and gutter removal and replacement; • Approximately 5,200 sq. ft. of sidewalk removal and replacement; • Removal and/or ab…
