Description

The City of Council Bluffs is requesting bids for all work set forth in the plans, specifications, and proposals for this project.  Major items of work for this project include the following approximate quantities: LUMP SUM BASE BID - DRY MATERIAL STORAGE BUILDING: Work generally includes construction of non-conditioned dry material storage building on the previously completed Phase I concrete foundation and floor slab. Work includes reinforced CMU walls and piers; masonry reinforcement, dowels, sealants, precast caps, and water-repellent treatment; roof trusses, wood framing, fascia, cedar, soffits, and standing-seam metal roofing; gutters and downspouts; three (3) insulated steel overhead doors; insulated hollow-metal personnel door, frame, and hardware; eight (8) galvanized steel pipe bollards; structural steel at designated openings; and all related materials, accessories, labor, and equipment necessary for a complete installation as indicated in the Contract Documents. The Phase I concrete footings and floor slab are existing and are excluded from the Base Bid, except for connections, modifications, and related work specifically indicated in the Contract Documents work.  ADD ALTERNATE NO. 1 - BOLLARDS: Provide the additional cost to substitute steel bollards matching the design, dimensions, and appearance of the bollards at the existing Maintenance Building in lieu of the galvanized steep pipe bollards specified in the Base Bid. Finish shall match existing.  ADD ALTERNATE NO. 2 - PIER CAPS: Provide the additional cost to substitute precast concrete or cast stone pier caps matching the profile, dimensions, color, and finish of the caps at the existing Maintenance Building in lieu of the standard precast concrete pier caps specified in the Base Bid.  ADD ALTERNATE NO. 3 - ACCENT BLOCK: Provide the additional cost to substitute 8-inch square, sooth-face green glazed CMU at the piers, matching the color and finish of the accent block at the existing Maintena…
