NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING AND TO BIDDERS CITY OF AMES, IOWA AMES TECHNICAL SERVICES RENOVATION WATER & POLLUTION CONTROL DEPARTMENT PUBLIC IMPROVEMENT PROJECT Notice is hereby given that the City Council of the City of Ames, Iowa, will meet in Council Chambers at City Hall, 515 Clark Avenue, Ames, Iowa, at 6:00 p.m. on November 10, 2026, at which time and place the City Council will hear objections to the proposed plans, specifications, and form of contract for said Ames Technical Services Renovation Project. City of Ames Contract No. 2027-016. Sealed bids will be received by the City Council for said project in accordance with the plans and specifications now posted online at ames.bids.ionwave.net (AmesBids), and said bids shall be submitted electronically in AmesBids prior to 2:00 p.m. local time, on the 28th day of October, 2026, at which time bids will be publicly opened and read aloud via Teams at the web link https://teams.microsoft.com/meet/293979919667195?p=b2CSSW3vweNMju090D. All bids received after the deadline for submission of bids as stated herein will not be considered. Bidders must be a registered supplier to submit a bid in AmesBids. Bidders are encouraged to create bids early with the required attachments. Contractor assumes all risk associated with submission of their bid. The City Manager shall announce the results of the bidding, together with his recommendations thereon, to the Council at its meeting to be held at 6:00 p.m. local time on November 10, 2026. Complete digital bidding documents are available at amesbids.ionwave.net at no cost. Paper copies thereof may be obtained by submitting a request to the City Purchasing Division by emailing purchasing@cityofames.org. AmesBids is the only authorized source of bid documents. Bid documents obtained from any other source may be incomplete.
