Description

City of Omaha is requesting bids from qualified companies, herein called Bidder, Contractor, Vendor, Supplier, or other pronouns used in their place, for all work and/or goods set forth in the specifications. SCOPE:  This project consists of remodeling the locker room and break room at the Traffic Maintenance Building. The primary scope includes the removal of an existing shower to accommodate an additional restroom stall. Work also includes upgrades to interior finishes alongside updates to the lighting and ceiling layouts. Anticipated Notice to Proceed date:  Wednesday, 11/25/2026 This project has an SEB reserve for ESB and SB Tier 1 & 2 categories for 10% of the total base bid. We therefore request that the following be added to the Q&A section for this project: Q1: How can I find out more about certification with the City of Omaha Small & Emerging Small Business Program? A1: More information is on Omaha Human Rights & Relations Department's website: https://humanrights.cityofomaha.org/economic-development/small-and-emerging-small-business-seb The PW Department is also requiring verification of a "Class A or B" City of Omaha General Contractor's License at the time of bid. A2: More information can be found on the Omaha Planning Department's website: https://permits.cityofomaha.org/licensing-information Requirement for Bid Bond: The surety company issuing the bid bond should be licensed by the State of Nebraska and listed on the current edition of Circular 570 of the United States Department of the Treasury. Acceptable substitutes for a bid bond: a certified check, an official bank check, a cashier's checks drawn on a national bank or a bank chartered under the laws of the state, payable to City of Omaha, or lawful money of the United States, or a United States Government Bond (negotiable).
