Description

<p>The City of Pomona is seeking quotes from qualified companies to supply pneumatic vehicle tires for use on City-operated vehicles and industrial equipment, including requirements for tire service at designated supplier's place of business, at various City Yard facilities and on the road, in accordance with the Scope of Service or Specifications stated herein. The City seeks to award a five (5) year agreement.</p> <p>Required Qualifications and Experience:</p><p>1. Contractor's operating location must be no farther than a seven (7) mile distance from the City Yard (636 W. Monterey Avenue, Pomona) to minimize City employee transit time and costs.</p><p>&nbsp;2. Contractor must have at its location of operation adequate equipment, facilities and personnel to provide tire service, including mounting and dismounting tires, flat repair and balancing of tires - for the largest size vehicle operated by the City.</p><p>&nbsp;3. Contractor must have or agree to have by the commencement of the agreement period, adequate mobile facilities to provide on-site service at the various City Yard facilities and road service as may be required. Mobile services shall be completed by a qualified mobile tire technician. Minimum equipment shall include air compressor, equipment for mounting/dismounting tires, and a jack capable of lifting the largest vehicle operated by the City. Failure of the Contractor to respond to a service call within one (1) hour will result in the City utilizing an alternate supplier. Any cost above the contract amount shall be the contractor's liability.</p><p>&nbsp;4. Contractor must have a City of Pomona Business License.</p><p>5. A current certificate of insurance as described by the city will be required. &nbsp;</p>
