Government contracts for roofing in Hawaii

Roofing contracts in Hawaii typically cover open roofing bids for TPO and EPDM membrane replacement, standing-seam metal re-roofs, hail-damage repair, leak investigations, and warranty-period roof maintenance. Federal posts in this category fall under NAICS 238160 (Roofing Contractors), and the bulk of the work flows to DoD installations, the U.S. Postal Service, and VA hospitals. Re-roof projects under $4M frequently set aside for small business, with bonding requirements that favor regional roofers over national chains.

Hawaii currently has 8 open roofing contracts in our database, with 6 added in the last 30 days. That's a steady cadence — enough flow to make automated alerting worthwhile rather than manual portal-checking. The most active buyers are Maui Director of Finance (4 open posts) and Hawaii Director of Finance (2), with the rest spread across other federal civilian agencies, DoD components, and state and local departments active in Hawaii.

Beyond federal opportunities, much of the roofing work in Hawaii is posted through HIePRO (Hawaii Electronic Procurement), with recurring buyers including the Hawaii Department of Transportation, the University of Hawaii, and the City and County of Honolulu. Hawaii's geographic isolation and high logistics costs mean in-state vendors hold a structural cost edge on most service work. ContractRadar pulls federal postings from SAM.gov alongside state and local feeds so a roofing contractor doesn't have to monitor each portal manually.
