Government contracts for roofing in Pennsylvania

Roofing contracts in Pennsylvania typically cover open roofing bids for TPO and EPDM membrane replacement, standing-seam metal re-roofs, hail-damage repair, leak investigations, and warranty-period roof maintenance. Federal posts in this category fall under NAICS 238160 (Roofing Contractors), and the bulk of the work flows to DoD installations, the U.S. Postal Service, and VA hospitals. Re-roof projects under $4M frequently set aside for small business, with bonding requirements that favor regional roofers over national chains.

Pennsylvania currently has 4 open roofing contracts in our database, with 3 added in the last 30 days. Volume in smaller markets is lumpy: a single base or facility can drive a quarter of annual postings. The most active buyers are VETERANS AFFAIRS, DEPARTMENT OF (3 open posts) and Wyomissing Borough, Berks County (1), with the rest spread across other federal civilian agencies, DoD components, and state and local departments active in Pennsylvania.

Beyond federal opportunities, much of the roofing work in Pennsylvania is posted through Pennsylvania eMarketplace (PA eMarketplace), with recurring buyers including PennDOT, the Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission, the State System of Higher Education (PASSHE), and the City of Philadelphia. Pennsylvania heavily uses statewide cooperative purchasing contracts (Costars) that local governments and school districts can buy off — getting on Costars expands your reach beyond state agencies. ContractRadar pulls federal postings from SAM.gov alongside state and local feeds so a roofing contractor doesn't have to monitor each portal manually.
