Description

This feasibility study will evaluate the technical, economic, and operational viability of implementing a microgrid at the Lester Water Treatment Plant (WTP) and Chase Booster Station to improve energy reliability, reduce operating costs, and ensure productivity in the case of grid outages or emergencies. Lester WTP and Chase Booster Station operate as critical facilities for the City of Corona. Each site requires uninterrupted power to sustain essential operations. This study will assess if a microgrid, potentially integrating distributed energy resource (DER), photovoltaic (PV) array, and/or battery energy storage system (BESS) components, can provide reliable on-site power, reduce dependence on the utility grid, and contribute to the City of Corona’s long-term sustainability objectives.

This study will outline the site potential for microgrid integration, provide estimated project costs, and provide revised operational costs and energy usage.

This project requires the oversight of an Engineer, preferably holding an 'E – Electrical Engineer' license pursuant to the California Board for Professional Engineers, Land Surveyors, and Geologists (BPELSG).

All Respondents shall access the Documents & Attachments Tab to review and download all RFP documents posted on the PlanetBids platform for the Project.
