Project Description: The Public Improvement, upon which bids are requested, generally consists of existing bridge demolition, new cable stayed river bridge crossing, integral flood control system components, approach roadways, traffic improvements, sidewalks, trail reconstruction, utility reconstruction, and lighting, located in the City of Cedar Rapids, From 1st Street SW to 3rd Street SE Along 8th Avenue SE/SW and Diagonal Drive SW. The Engineer’s opinion of probable cost is $123,000,000. Early Start Date: Upon Notice to Proceed (Anticipated Jan/Feb 2027) Milestones: None Final Completion: Calendar Days: 1,250 days
