<p>The City of Carlsbad (City) is seeking Statements of Qualifications (SOQ) for the City’s Fleet Maintenance Building Refurbishment Project (Project). The objective of this prequalification process is to identify Contractors deemed qualified and capable of successfully completing the construction of the Project in accordance with the Project specifications and plans, based on prior similar work, client references and staffing. Prequalification does not constitute the City’s approval or endorsement of a Contractor’s specific personnel, equipment, or construction methods, regardless of whether such details are included in the Contractor’s SOQ.</p><p>This Request for Qualifications (RFQ) represents the initial phase (Step 1) of the City's procurement process to select a qualified Contractor for the Project. The City will not compensate Contractors for any costs associated with preparing, submitting, or participating in the RFQ process. Issuance of this RFQ does not obligate the City to award a contract or to undertake any procurement or contracting activities related to the Project.</p> <p>Any engineering firms, specialty consultants, or individuals previously retained by the City to assist in drafting the Project’s preliminary design, General Development Plan or Drawings shall not be eligible to participate in this RFQ, or in the subsequent solicitation, if any (i.e., Step 2). In addition, any people who currently serve on a City Board or Commission per Carlsbad Municipal Code (CMC) Section 2.15.030 are ineligible to participate. Please documents for more information.</p>
