Government contracts for pest control in Maryland

Pest control contracts in Maryland typically cover rodent and bird control at federal warehouses, integrated pest management (IPM) at courthouses, termite treatment at base housing, and on-call extermination IDIQs. Federal posts in this category fall under NAICS 561710 (Exterminating and Pest Control Services), and the bulk of the work flows to DoD, USDA, the VA, and GSA-managed federal buildings. These contracts almost always run as small-business set-asides given typical award sizes under $250K.

Maryland currently has 5 open pest control contracts in our database, with 4 added in the last 30 days. That's a steady cadence — enough flow to make automated alerting worthwhile rather than manual portal-checking. The most active buyers are DGS - Multi-Service Center - Silver Spring District Court (3 open posts) and Department of Housing & Community Development (1), with the rest spread across other federal civilian agencies, DoD components, and state and local departments active in Maryland.

Beyond federal opportunities, much of the pest control work in Maryland is posted through eMaryland Marketplace Advantage (eMMA), with recurring buyers including the Maryland Department of Transportation, University System of Maryland campuses, and Maryland Stadium Authority. Maryland aggressively enforces MBE goals — most contracts carry a target percentage that prime contractors must subcontract to certified MBE firms. ContractRadar pulls federal postings from SAM.gov alongside state and local feeds so a pest-control vendor doesn't have to monitor each portal manually.
