Government contracts for painting in Oregon

Painting contracts in Oregon typically cover interior repaints of office buildings, exterior coatings on military housing, lead-paint abatement at older federal facilities, and parking-lot striping. Federal posts in this category fall under NAICS 238320 (Painting and Wall Covering Contractors), and the bulk of the work flows to DoD housing offices, the GSA Public Buildings Service, and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. Most painting awards are small-business set-asides — federal buyers actively want regional shops, not nationwide painting chains.

Oregon currently has 2 open painting contracts in our database, with 1 added in the last 30 days. Volume in smaller markets is lumpy: a single base or facility can drive a quarter of annual postings. The most active buyers are City of Pendleton (1 open posts) and Oregon Health Authority (1), with the rest spread across other federal civilian agencies, DoD components, and state and local departments active in Oregon.

Beyond federal opportunities, much of the painting work in Oregon is posted through OregonBuys, with recurring buyers including the Oregon Department of Transportation, the Oregon University System, and Multnomah County / TriMet. Oregon's COBID certifications (MBE/WBE/SDV/ESB) are the gateway to set-aside and subcontracting goals on most state work. ContractRadar pulls federal postings from SAM.gov alongside state and local feeds so a painting contractor doesn't have to monitor each portal manually.
