With this Request for Proposal (RFP), St. Lucie County is soliciting proposals for sample collection and analytical laboratory services for compliance with all Florida Department of Environmental Protection (FDEP) landfill permit specifications and other monitoring requirements. St. Lucie County has one solid waste facility under permit for operation by the Florida Department of Environmental Protection (FDEP). The facility name under permit is: St. Lucie County Baling and Recycling Facility, WACS ID: 70652. There are currently 37 groundwater-monitoring wells, 3 extraction wells, 1 combined extraction well, 2 piezometers, and 3 surface water-sampling locations at the Baling and Recycling Facility site. The routine analytical requirements are identified in the Operation Permit. There are occasionally other analytical requirements that arise from the operation of the facility and regulatory agency requirements. (Other County agencies including the St Lucie County Utilities Department, may also have analysis service requirements that would be met under the contract resulting from this RFP.) NON-MANDATORY N/A
