Description

The City of Dinuba is seeking Statements of Qualifications (SOQs) from qualified architectural and engineering firms to provide professional design and related services for the City's proposed second fire station. The selected consultant will be responsible for reviewing and advancing the existing preliminary floor plan and site plan through final design and construction documents, including all required architectural and engineering disciplines, cost estimating, permitting and agency coordination, bidding assistance, and construction administration services necessary to deliver a complete, functional, and code-compliant fire station. The City of Dinuba Fire Department provides fire suppression, emergency medical response, and other emergency services from its existing fire station located at 496 E. Tulare Street. The City recently updated its Fire Master Plan, which identified the need for a second fire station to enhance emergency response capabilities and accommodate current and future service demands. The proposed second fire station will be constructed on City-owned property. The City has prepared a preliminary floor plan and site plan for the proposed facility. The Dinuba Fire Department command staff has identified preliminary operational requirements, project features, and design elements for the new fire station. The selected consultant shall review and evaluate the preliminary plans and requirements in collaboration with City and Fire Department staff and utilize its expertise in fire station and essential services facility design to validate the project scope and recommend modifications, as appropriate, to provide a functional, efficient, code-compliant, and cost-effective facility.
