Description
<p>This Contract comprises general construction of fiber optic structured cabling and network switches at</p><p>the City of Vallejo’s Fleming Hill Water Treatment Plant (FHWTP), the Dewatering Facility, and the</p><p>Chabot Pump Station. When using the term “facility” it is meant to encompass all three locations.</p><p>The work to be done includes:</p><p>1. Provide SCADA fiber network communications between the facility’s control panels and the</p><p>administration building.</p><p>2. Demolish obsolete fiber optic cabling whenever possible. There are multiple networks at the</p><p>facility and in some instances these networks use fiber strands within the same fiber optic cable</p><p>3. Provide single-mode fiber optic cabling and patch panels. Route fiber optic cabling within the</p><p>existing duct banks.</p><p>4. Demo work and modifications to the server room network rack.</p><p>5. New conduit that is to be provided is depicted in the drawings.</p><p>6. Test new fiber-optic cabling.</p><p>7. Provide new managed Ethernet switches and fiber optic patch panels.</p><p>8. Provide as-built drawings.</p><p>9. Provide record drawings showing the facility’s entire fiber optic network and associated conduit</p><p>paths. This includes all networks, not just the SCADA network fiber being upgraded under this</p><p>Contract.</p> <p></p>
