The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is offering for sale two (2) items of standing timber on approximately 199.5 acres within nine (9) separate blocks A through I at Fort Pickett Military Installation, Nottoway and Brunswick County, Virginia of which approximately the following volumes to be harvested: These sales are sold per Item by unit, harvested timber will be sold by being scaled at the receiving mill by WEIGHT by the ton. The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service has listed the Northern Long- Eared Bat Myotis septentrionalis as endangered under the Endangered Species Act. All tree felling operations are restricted by federal law and must be completed by 14 May 2027. There will be no exception or extensions to this contract to allow for additional time due to military uses.
