SOURCES SOUGHT SYNOPSIS The Department of Veterans Affairs is issuing this sources sought synopsis as a means of conducting market research to identify parties having an interest in and the resources to support a requirement for Vertical Transportation System Maintenance and Repair Services located at FHCC VAMC , North Chicago IL. o Captain James A. Lovell Federal Health Care Center, North Chicago, IL. The result of this market research will contribute to determining the method of procurement. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code assigned to this procurement is 238290. THERE IS NO SOLICITATION AT THIS TIME. This request for capability information does not constitute a request for proposals; submission of any information in response to this market survey is purely voluntary; the government assumes no financial responsibility for any costs incurred. Background: The objective of this requirement provide for the preventive maintenance, scheduled repairs, and emergency response (available 24 hours per day, every day of the year), of the vertical transportation systems located at the Captain James A. Lovell Federal Health Care Center ( FHCC ), Naval Station Great Lakes, 3001 Green Bay Road, North Chicago, Illinois 60064-3048, as set forth in this Performance Work Statement. Safe, reliable operation of all vertical transportation system components (collectively VTS Components ) is critical to patient care, and the Contractor shall execute all requirements of this Contract with this in mind. A complete listing of all VTS Components, including twenty-nine (31) elevators, two (2) cart lifts, and two (2) dumbwaiters, is set forth in the Vertical Transportation System Schedule at the end of this Statement of Work.
