Q - Are OEM drawings for the HRP 5001 TT propeller, or any Government-held technical data, available for release? The Purchase Description does not include blade geometry (section profiles, skew, rake, radial pitch and thickness distribution). If not, is the existing or removed propeller accessible for 3D scanning? A - This is a completely new design for skew etc. based upon the Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) model that Marine Design Center (MDC) had done by their engineering subcontractor. This new design propeller will have a standard SAE tapered up that will fit the existing design bow thruster pod gear box. Attached is the model study. The US Army Corp of Engineers, Portland District intends to award a firm fixed-priced purchase order for the procurement of one (1) bow thruster propeller for the Dredge Essayons. Please see the attached Solicitation document (AKA Request for Quote) and Purchase Description for further details of this procurement. This solicitation is advertised as 100% Total Small Business Set-Aside under NAICS code 336611 Ship Build and Repairing with a small business size standard of 1,300 employees. All prospective offerors must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) at www.sam.gov to be eligible for award. Lack of an active SAM registration will make an offeror ineligible for award.
