Description

The Naval Air Warfare Center Training Systems Division (NAWCTSD) intends to negotiate, on a sole source basis, a contract for the Integrated Tactical Trainer (ITT) 2B & 2C Operating Systems Updates and Modifications to include the following: The current procurement includes operating systems updates (i.e. Windows 11 and Red Hat Enterprise License) and system modifications to the ITT-2B and 2C inclusive of the design, fabrication, procurement, delivery, installation, integration, configuration, technical documentation, test, modernization, and concurrency of the Littoral Combat Ship (LCS) Independence Variant ITT devices 20B14 SN1 and 20B14 SN2 installed in Naval Station San Diego, CA. This procurement specifically involves: (1) LCS trainer support (i.e. hardware, software, documentation) as required to retain training capability throughout its lifecycle; (2) The integration of the ITTs with the tech refreshed Common Mission Package Trainers (CMPTs) and the Multi-Data Link Management System (MDLMS), (3) Configuration management to ensure all software suites are properly tracked and updated; (4) Installation of latest version of Windows, Windows Server, and Red Hat Enterprise License (RHEL) to meet Department of War (DoW) Cyber directive; (4) Installation and integration of VSHIP 10 to be compatible with latest version of Windows; (5) Converting existing scenario files to VSHIP 10; (6) Removal of Splunk platform and replacing with Aria Cybersecurity to be concurrent with the ship; (7) Upgrade existing hypervisors to align with tactical Total Ship Computing Environment (TSCE) modernization solution (i.e. ESXi ver.7 u3); (8) Update After Action Review (AAR) hardware and software for mission debrief; (9) Update the Video Display System to operate with the new OS and VSHIP 10; (10) Install VSHIP 10 on the CMPTs and ensure they are still functional with ITTs.
