Description
The Work of Project is defined by the Contract Documents and includes, but is not limited to, the following: This project consists of the demolition of the existing building, including the floor slab and foundations, along with selective demolition of portions of the existing site as indicated in the Construction Documents, to accommodate the construction of a new cemetery office building and associated site improvements. Site demolition includes removal of existing fencing and footings, concrete pads, asphalt pavement, as well as an existing outbuilding, utilities, and infrastructure. Site improvements include installation of new utility infrastructure, including water, sanitary sewer, and underground electrical service, as well as a new utility meter and fire hydrant. Additional improvements include landscaping, signage, fencing, bollards, a flagpole, and wheel stops. Some demolition and site improvement work, as identified in the Construction Documents, will be performed by the Owner and coordinated with the City. The Project’s Base Bid includes 2,572 SF facility with family room, offices, associated support spaces, as well as a conditioned bay. The Project also includes (5) Add Alternates, as identified in the front-end specifications: 1. Add Alternate #1: Demolish existing residential fencing along the west property line and replace with new fencing. 2. Add Alternate #2: Provide a poured lightweight concrete ceiling over metal decking and structural framing at File 103, in lieu of a fire-rated lay-in ceiling system. 3. Add Alternate #3: Provide (2) metal canopies at staff entries. 4. Add Alternate #4: Provide window roller shades (manual operation). 5. Add Alternate #5: Construct Enclosed Bay & Open Bay. a. With the construction of this alternate, the building area increases to 4,272 SF. The building’s structural system will consist of wood stud framing, wood trusses, and CMU walls.
