ContractRadar Adds 111 More City and County Procurement Portals

By ContractRadar

We have added 111 more city and county procurement portals — our largest batch by count, ahead of the 102 we added in our previous round. Together they cover about 7.8 million residents, and they include Cheyenne, our first Wyoming source of any kind, deeper coverage of South Florida, the Bay Area and the Phoenix area, and Pompano Beach, whose bidding now lives only on its own portal. ContractRadar syncs all 111 daily.

Why local coverage matters

City and county governments buy constantly — paving, roofing, fencing, landscaping, HVAC, plumbing, snow removal, parks and facilities — and they post it on their own portals, not in a statewide system. For small and local businesses this is often the most winnable work: smaller contracts, local-vendor preferences, and far less national competition than federal bids. At the time of writing (October 7, 2026), these 111 portals had 305 open solicitations between them.

Cheyenne: our first Wyoming source

Cheyenne, WY (~66,507) is the first Wyoming source of any kind in ContractRadar — Wyoming has no statewide pipeline here either, so the city’s own portal is the only Wyoming procurement we monitor. At the time of writing it listed a street curb-and-gutter improvement on Van Buren Avenue, alongside two surplus property sales. The Cheyenne portal is linked in the Wyoming section of the directory below.

Pompano Beach: the portal is now the only venue

Pompano Beach, FL (~117,211) moved its bidding off its old platform onto its own procurement portal on October 1, 2026. That makes the portal its only live venue, so anyone still watching the old location is looking at a government that no longer posts there. At the time of writing the portal had a water treatment plant improvement project open.

Metro depth

South Florida

Seven South Florida governments are new: Hollywood, Coral Springs, Pompano Beach, Dania Beach, Homestead, Doral and North Miami Beach. Homestead had a police athletic league restroom renovation open (one of several re-bids), North Miami Beach had a stormwater improvements project, and Doral had swimming pool deck and anchor improvements along with an intersection improvement project. Hollywood had a headworks scrubber rehabilitation open. See the Florida guide for the statewide system these sit beside.

Bay Area and Silicon Valley

Six more Bay Area governments joined: Concord, Palo Alto, Milpitas, South San Francisco, Napa and Los Gatos. Milpitas listed fire extinguisher inspection, maintenance and testing; the City of Napa listed tree maintenance services; and South San Francisco had an Oyster Point sanitary sewer pump station relocation. See the California guide for the state system.

The Phoenix area

Four Phoenix-area cities are new: Avondale, Queen Creek, El Mirage and Fountain Hills. El Mirage had arterial street sweeping open, Queen Creek had material testing services for civil construction projects, and Avondale had an on-call housing rehabilitation solicitation. See the Arizona guide for the state system.

Where the new portals are

California leads with 29 new portals, then Florida with 17, Arizona with 9, Texas and New Jersey with 6 each, and Illinois with 5. The rest are spread across 20 more states. The full directory is at the bottom of this post.

How to register and bid

Each portal lets you browse open solicitations, but to download full documents, receive addenda, ask questions or submit a response you generally need to register as a vendor with that government’s portal. Keep your commodity or category codes accurate — that is what controls whether the portal itself notifies you about a relevant opportunity — and if the government runs a local or small-business preference program and you qualify, get certified before the solicitation you want appears.

How ContractRadar monitors these portals

ContractRadar syncs all 111 of these portals daily and scores new solicitations against your saved searches. Matches appear in your opportunities dashboard and your daily email alert, alongside the federal, state, and other local sources we track. See the full coverage map for every monitored source.
