ContractRadar Adds 104 Local Buyers, From Memphis to School Districts

By ContractRadar

We have added 104 more local buyers, and this batch is different from the ones before it. Alongside city and county governments such as Memphis, Fort Lauderdale andYolo County, it brings in ourfirst school districts, housing authorities, airports, ports, transit agencies and water districts. It also adds our first local sources in Louisiana andRhode Island. ContractRadar syncs all 104 daily.

A new kind of local buyer

Until now every local source we monitored was a city or county government. But some of the busiest local buyers aren’t city halls. School districts re-roof buildings, replace HVAC systems, pave parking lots and fence athletic fields. Housing authorities need repairs and snow removal. Airports, ports and water districts run constant maintenance and construction. 34 of the new sources are school districts or colleges, and 29 are authorities, districts and other public agencies. At the time of writing (October 14, 2026), the 104 new sources had 237 open solicitations between them.

Each one appears under the place it serves. Dallas ISD shows up next to the City of Dallas, and Ascension Parish Schools next to Ascension Parish government.

Memphis

The City of Memphis, TNhad six solicitations open at the time of writing: Phase I court improvements at Walter Singleton Park, building supplies for doors and door hardware, paint and painting supplies, motor oils and other lubricants, public safety uniforms, and the redevelopment of an 18-acre site on Graceland Drive. Memphis is one of seven new Tennessee sources, alongside Jackson, Alcoa, Morristown, Thompson’s Station, Bradley County Schools and the Knox County and Knoxville Public Building Authority. See theTennesseeguide for the state system.

Our first local sources in Louisiana and Rhode Island

Until this batch we covered Louisiana and Rhode Island only through their statewide systems. Eight Louisiana sources are new: Ascension Parish government and Ascension Parish Schools, the City of Mandeville, East Baton Rouge Schools, Lafayette Parish Schools, NOLA Public Schools, and the housing authorities of Shreveport and Bossier City. Ascension Parish alone had five solicitations open, including a Donaldsonville courthouse renovation re-bid and a fire protection district renovation, and Mandeville had a wastewater treatment plant disinfection project. In Rhode Island, theProvidence Housing Authority is new. See theLouisianaandRhode Islandguides for the state systems.

Texas depth

Texas gets the most new sources, with 24. They include New Braunfels, Seguin, Port Arthur, Canyon and Santa Fe, five school districts (Dallas, Leander, Bastrop, Texarkana and Gregory-Portland), and Victoria, San Patricio and Kendall counties. Seguin had an annual roadway striping and pavement marking contract open, Port Arthur a lift station project, Gatesville a wastewater treatment plant expansion, and Canyon emergency standby generators with automatic transfer switches. See theTexasguide for the state system.

How to register and bid

Each portal lets you browse open solicitations, but to download full documents, receive addenda, ask questions or submit a response you generally need to register as a vendor with that buyer’s portal. School districts and authorities often have their own vendor requirements, such as insurance certificates and background checks for work on school grounds, so read the solicitation’s instructions before you price the job.
