Commodity or Service Required: Purchase of Southport Truck Freightliner OEM Parts and Repairs Description: Lee County Fleet Management is seeking to execute a sole source for Freightliner trucks OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) parts and repair services to include advanced diagnostic technology and scanning tools used to ensure fleet Freightliner trucks are running efficiently and optimally. Intended Sole Source: Tampa Truck Center LLC dba Southport Truck Group Justification for Sole Source Acquisition: Southport Truck Group is the sole authorized Freightliner OEM parts and service dealer for the geographical area that includes Lee County and the only company that can provide the OEM parts and repairs that are important to maintain the efficiency and integrity of the fleet. Recommended Procurement Approach: For the reason(s) stated above, Lee County Procurement Management intends to utilize the Sole Source Procurement method to purchase from Tampa Truck Center LLC dba Southport Truck Group to supply the above.
