This posting is not a Request for Bid (RFB) or a Request for Proposal (RFP).The Department of Transportation Materials and Road Research Office intend to purchase service from Geocomp Inc., to calibrate our geotechnical lab equipment during the winter months when the volume of soil testing is much lower.Our lab must be certified by the American Association of State Highway and Transportation every two years. AASHTO requires all lab equipment and load frames to be calibrated.Geocomp is the sole designer, manufacturer, and distributor of the load test frames used by the MnDOT Geotechnical Section in the geotechnical lab. In addition, there is a significant cost efficiency and operational efficiency obtained by having Geocomp assess the state of calibration while simultaneously addressing any load test frame component replacements and adjustments.
