Description
The City of Riverside Municipal Airport is soliciting proposals from qualified and experienced waterwise landscape contractors to replace approximately 18,289 square feet of existing grass with water-efficient landscaping. This project will ensure the Airport’s compliance with Assembly Bill 1572, which restricts the use of potable water for irrigating nonfunctional turf at public facilities. The selected contractor must have demonstrated experience with the Western Municipal Water District’s rebate program, as the project is expected to incorporate eligible water-efficiency measures. The project and all paperwork must be completed no later than December 15, 2026. Prior to the proposal submission deadline, bidders must upload via the City’s bidding website a bidder’s bond executed by a corporate surety admitted to engage in such business in the State of California, with an A:7 rating, for an amount equal to at least ten percent of the amount of its proposal. The bid bond must be notarized, and scans are acceptable for the purposes of online submittal, but originals will be required when requested by Purchasing. No proposal shall be considered unless such proposal guaranty is received by the proposal submission deadline. Proposals submitted without a proposal guarantee shall be declared non-responsive and will not be further considered. In order to be considered valid, a bid bond must be signed by authorized representatives from both the Contractor and Corporate Surety.
