Vendors are required to comply in accordance with Grant Requirements, terms, conditions, and specifications. Notice to Bidder Invitation to Bid (B) Lee County, Florida, is requesting bids from qualified individuals/firms for the attached solicitation. GENERAL SCOPE OF WORK Lee County Board of County Commissioners seeks to contract a qualified CONTRACTOR to conduct maintenance dredging of the Blind Pass Channel and the connection to Roosevelt Channel through the historic pass and under the bridge located between Sanibel and Captiva Island. The channel will extend from the approximate -10’ NAVD contour in the Gulf of Mexico into the interior waters of Pine Island Sound. The permitted channel has variable dredge cut widths and depths. This maintenance dredging event entails the removal of approximately 120,900 cubic yards of sediment from the Pass and interior system (68,180 seaward of Blind Pass Bridge, 43,680 in Wulfert Channel landward of Blind Pass Bridge, and 9,040 in Roosevelt Channel). Additional yardage has been included in the quantities to account for shoaling from the time of the design survey in March 2026 until construction. Beach compatible material will be placed on the downdrift beach between R-112 to R-116. The County has obtained a variance from Rule 62-4.244(5)(c), F.A.C., to temporarily establish an expanded mixing zone of 1500 meters downcurrent from the dredge site on the beach side of the bridge, and from the point of sand discharge onto the beach disposal site.
