Description
The California State Board of Pharmacy, part of DCA, protects public health by regulating pharmacy practice and the pharmaceutical supply chain. Its current licensing and regulatory operations rely on aging legacy systems (CAS and ATS) and manual processes that limit efficiency, flexibility, data quality, and online services. Fragmented systems, limited workflow automation, and constrained digital capabilities create operational inefficiencies and reporting challenges. To address these issues, the Board seeks to implement a Contractor hosted, cloud-based Software as a Service (SaaS) solution supporting end to end application, renewal, compliance, payment, inspection, and reporting processes. The Contractor will design, configure, integrate, test, deploy, and support this modern solution in phased releases, ensuring secure data exchange, configurable workflows, improved user experience, and enhanced operational effectiveness. The project requires coordination with multiple state entities, service providers, and data exchange partners and includes comprehensive training, documentation, data conversion, and ongoing maintenance.
