AFMETCAL at Heath OH intends to solicit and award a Sole Source Firm Fixed Price contract under FAR Part 12 Procedures for the purchase of Fluke Met/Cal and Met/Team Software and Hardware System Upgrade and manuals from Fluke Electronics Corp. (Cage 4U744). Fluke Electronics Corp. was the only company identified as capable of meeting this requirement. The Government envisions a Firm Fixed Price contract. The requirement is in accordance with the Purchase Description which is available for download at this site. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS OR QUOTATIONS. No solicitation package will be issued. A determination by the Government not to compete this action based on responses received is solely within the discretion of the Government. All responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation which shall be considered by AFMETCAL. Interested sources must respond in writing with clear and convincing evidence to support their ability to provide the required items and services within fifteen (15) days of this publication.    This is a request for information (RFI) / SOURCES SOUGHT SYNOPSIS. This request is not a solicitation (Request for Proposal or Request for Quotations) or a promise to issue a solicitation in the future. Responses to this notice are not considered offers and cannot be accepted by the government to form a binding contract. The purpose of this request for information is in support of market research being conducted by the Air Force Metrology Calibration Program (AFMETCAL) to identify potential sources and gather information on current capabilities within the market. This synopsis is for planning purposes only and is NOT to be construed as a commitment by the Government nor will the Government pay for information solicited hereunder. All costs associated with responding to this RFI will be solely at the responding partys expense.
