Aircraft Rescue and Fire Fighting (ARFF) Fire Suppression Equipment

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial products or commercial services prepared in accordance with part 12. This announcement constitutes as the only solicitation. Quotes are being requested and a written solicitation is attached. Solicitation number W913E526QA004 is issued as a request for quotation (RFQ) for Antarctic Airfield Rescue and Firefighting (ARFF) Fire Suppression System. This requirement is a total set-aside for small business concerns. This solicitation incorporates provisions and clauses by reference. The full text of provisions and clauses may be accessed electronically at www.acquisition.gov/faroverhaul. The United States Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), Cold Regions Research and Engineering Laboratory (CRREL), Engineering Research Branch (ERB) has a requirement for delivery and installation of six (6) Compressed Air Foam System (CAFS) firefighting systems for integration as complete Antarctic Airfield Rescue and Firefighting (ARFF) vehicles. The Contractor shall also provide training on operation of the suppression systems and will be required to ship the completed systems to a to be determined CONUS integration contractor facility. Product Specifications: A partly custom solution is required consisting of commercially available wheeled and tracked, low ground pressure, 7.5-ton payload vehicles that will have separate, integrated commercially available fire suppression systems. This requirement is for the fire suppression portion of the total ARFF solution. Some minor modification of these commercial products may be necessary to meet the needs of Antarctic functionality, specifically to ensure mechanical systems operate down to -30F.
