This is a Pre-Solicitation Notice only. This notice is provided for informational and planning purposes and does not constitute a solicitation, Request for Quotation (RFQ). The Government is not requesting quotations or proposals at this time. The Department of the Interior (DOI), Interior Business Center (IBC), Acquisitions Service Directorate (AQD), in support of the National Park Service (NPS), Historic Preservation Training Center (HPTC), intends to solicit qualified contractors to provide historic building relocation services at Minidoka National Historic Site (MIIN) in Jerome, Idaho. Description of Requirement The Government anticipates a requirement for a qualified contractor with demonstrated experience in historic preservation and structural building relocation to safely relocate one historic barrack building. The work is anticipated to require two mobilizations. First Mobilization - Temporary Relocation The contractor shall separate the historic barrack building from its existing foundation and relocate the structure to a temporary location identified by the Government. The contractor shall provide an appropriate structural stabilization plan addressing temporary bracing, framing, lifting points, cribbing, and other measures necessary to safely separate, lift, relocate, and stabilize the structure. The building shall be placed and maintained in a stable, elevated condition on cribbing towers at the temporary location to allow HPTC personnel to perform necessary repairs to the building's structural floor framing. HPTC will provide temporary bracing for non-structural historic features within the building prior to relocation. The building is anticipated to remain at the temporary location while HPTC completes repairs through approximately May 2027.
