Date: Wednesday, October 14, 2026 Supplier: Xylem Water Solutions, U.S.A., Inc. Flygt Products Description: Xylem Water Solutions U.S.A., Inc.is the only authorized vendor for Flygt Products and is the only authorized service repair and warranty organization in the State of Florida; ( East of the Apalachicola River). Xylem staff is properly trained to provide us with original equipment spare parts and repair & warranty service. FLYGT products are manufactured in our facility in Southern Sweden and distributed by our directed offices in Florida listed above. The 4901 Mix Flush Valve FLYGT P/N 5565101 is a proprietary FLYGT product. The city has 207 lift stations and approximately 95% of the lift stations are equipped with FLYGT pumps. The pumps are necessary to create redundancy and reduce the possibility of failure at lift stations; Each lift station has two pumps to ensure continuous operation, and the typical life span of a pump is 7 years. When pumps fail, they are taken for a rebuild quote. If the quote for repairs is over 50%, a new pump is purchased as it comes with a (3) three-year warranty. Rebuilt pumps do not have a warranty. Due Date: Wednesday, November 4, 2026 at 4:00 p.m. (ET) This is not a formal solicitation and there are no submissions required. The proposed action is for product or services for which the City intends to negotiate and award with only one source under the authority of and in accordance with Florida State Statute 287.057(3)(c). Any responses received as a result of this shall be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Responses will not be considered as proposals, bids, or quotes. This is a Notice for a Sole Source designation for the City of Fort Myers.
