SPECIAL NOTICE / PRE-SOLICITATION NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE Revolutionary FAR Overhaul (RFO) Commercial Acquisition (Below SAT) 1. SPECIAL NOTICE INFORMATION: This is a special notice prepared in accordance with the Revolutionary FAR Overhaul (RFO) Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 5.1 (Pre-solicitation Notice for Commercial Simplified Acquisition) and RFO FAR 12.201-1(c)(2). 2. CONTRACTING OFFICE & AGENCY: Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard & Intermediate Maintenance Facility 667 Safeguard Street JBPHH, HI 96860-5033 3. SUBJECT & INTENT TO AWARD: In accordance with RFO FAR 12.201-1(c)(2), the Government may solicit quotations directly from suppliers for this acquisition at or below the Simplified Acquisition Threshold (SAT). The Government intends to award a sole-source, firm-fixed-price (FFP) purchase order using Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP) to: Vendor Name: Chant Engineering Co. Inc. Vendor Address: 59 Industrial Drive, New Britain, PA 18901 4. DESCRIPTION & WHY COMPETITION IS LACKING: Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard & Intermediate Maintenance Facility (PHNSY & IMF) is seeking sources capable of providing a Manufacturer Trained Certified Technician for on-site corrective maintenance to restore service on one (1) Chant Model 30511 Hydraulic Component Test Stand (HCTS). Contractor to perform corrective maintenance to open up and inspect machine. Contractor to troubleshoot and determine what parts and services are needed to restore operational performance. Contractor to perform Corrective Maintenance to open up and inspect machine HCTS.Contractor to troubleshoot and determine what parts and services are needed to restore operational performance to machine HCTS. The Contractor shall provide on-site diagnostic, troubleshooting, and repair service on the HCTS.
