Description
During the calendar year 2028, the consultant shall inspect approximately 192 of 372 Trumbull County bridges, which are required to be inspected on a 12-month interval established by the Ohio Revised Code, “Reliability Based Inspection” (RBI) criteria effective July 1, 2021. During the 2027 and 2029 calendar years, the consultant shall inspect approximately 372 bridges. This includes the same 192 structures that must receive a routine inspection every 12 months along with an additional 180 structures, which are inspected on a RBI interval up to 24 months. During the 2027 inspection cycle, perform a Scour Appraisal for 177 bridges having a clear span of more than 20 feet carrying vehicular traffic on county roads over waterways. The Scour Appraisal shall include both Observed Scour and Estimated Scour. Observed scour results will be recorded in the Inspection Report. Estimated Scour results will be recorded on the Scour Appraisal form in AssetWise and will be based on a Scour Evaluation or a Scour Assessment as outlined in Appendix D of the Ohio Department of Transportation 2025 Bridge Inspection Manual. All scour appraisals need to be on file in AssetWise by March 2028.
