Department of Public Works Town of Herndon ADVERTISEMENT FOR BID CHESTNUT GROVE CEMETERY DEVELOPMENT PROJECT Contract No. B#27-01 Sealed bids are hereby solicited for construction of CHESTNUT GROVE CEMETERY DEVELOPMENT PROJECT located in Herndon, Virginia. The work shall include the following: The Work generally consists of the clearing, grading, site development, stormwater and drainage improvements, roadway construction, landscaping, and related site improvements necessary for the development of approximately 3.7 acres at the northwest corner of Chestnut Grove Cemetery, located at 831 Dranesville Road. The completed improvements will accommodate approximately 2,500 burial sites, associated access roads, drainage and stormwater facilities, landscape improvements, and the design and construction of the three (3) Landscape Material Bins. The Contractor shall be solely responsible for providing the design, engineering, structural calculations, materials, labor, equipment, and construction necessary to complete the Landscape Material Bins in accordance with applicable codes, regulations, and the requirements of the authorities having jurisdiction. The design and all necessary structural calculations shall be prepared, signed, and sealed by a Professional Engineer licensed to practice in the Commonwealth of Virginia. The Contractor shall submit the design drawings, structural calculations, and other required documentation to the Town’s Building Official for review and approval as part of the building permit application process. The Contractor shall obtain the required building permit and any other applicable approvals prior to commencing construction of the Landscape Material Bins. All costs associated with the design, engineering, structural calculations, preparation and submission of documents, permit applications, and related professional services shall be the responsibility of the Contractor and shall be included in the Contract Price.
