Description

The Unified Government of Wyandotte County/Kansas City, Kansas desires to issue this formal solicitation for the procurement of inmate communications and mail solutions. The scope of work includes the furnishing, installation, configuration, testing, operation, maintenance, training, and ongoing support of inmate telephones, secure wireless tablets, video visitation services, secure electronic messaging, digital mail scanning, automated voice information systems (IVR), and advanced investigative, monitoring, and reporting tools. MANDATORY A mandatory site pre-proposal conference will be held at 9:00 AM, Central Standard Time, on November 5, 2026, in the Sheriff Admin Training Room on the Basement floor of the Wyandotte County Detention Center Building, 710 N. 7th Street, Kansas City, KS 66101. The purpose of the conference is to discuss the work to be performed with the prospective offerors and allow them to ask questions concerning the RFP. Questions and answers will be transcribed and sent to prospective offerors as soon as possible after the meeting. The Mandatory Site Pre-Proposal Conference Registration Form, referenced herein as Attachment 1 Mandatory Requirements Section Q, must be completed and returned via e-mail to Arenis Montes at a.montes@wycokck.org no later than November 4, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. CST.
