THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL, QUOTE, OR BID. NO AWARD WILL BE MADE FROM THIS SOURCES SOUGHT. THE GOVERNMENT WILL NOT REIMBURSE RESPONDENTS FOR ANY COSTS INCURRED FOR THEIR PARTICIPATION IN THIS SOURCES SOUGHT. ALL RESPONSES WILL BE USED TO DETERMINE THE APPROPRIATE ACQUISITION STRATEGY FOR THE POSSIBLE FUTURE ACQUISITION. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), Baltimore District (NAB), seeks to determine the interest, availability, and capability of potential sources to satisfy controls and instrumentation supplies and incidental service needs of the Washington Aqueduct (WA). This Sources Sought Notice is one facet of the Government�s overall market research strategy. No acquisition strategy will be determined based solely on the information received from this Sources Sought Notice. Both small and large businesses are highly encouraged to respond in this Sources Sought. Background The WA is a public water supply agency that produces an average of 135 million gallons of water per day at two treatment plants located in the District of Columbia. The mission of the WA is to collect, purify, and pump an adequate supply of water to its wholesale customers � DC Water, Arlington County, and Fairfax Water. The place of performance/delivery is the WA�s Dalecarlia and McMillan Water Treatment Plants in Washington, D.C. Requirement Description NAB intends to satisfy controls and instrumentation supplies and incidental service needs of WA by awarding a target of three (3) firm-fixed price Blanket Purchase Agreements (BPAs). Each BPA will have a five (5) year ordering period.
