The Town of Halifax (“Owner”) invites bids for the construction of the new Senior Center project at 267 Monponsett Street, Halifax, MA 02338. Filed-subcontractor bids are due November 16, 2026 at 3:00PM. General Contractor bids are due November 23, 2026 at 3:00PM. Sealed bids are to be delivered to Town Clerk at Town Hall to be time-stamped. An optional Contractor Pre-Bid Site Walk will be held at the Town Hall, Select Board Meeting Room, 499 Plymouth Street, Halifax, MA 02338 on November 4, 2026 at 12:00PM. Project Description: New construction of a $3.074million 3,450GSF Senior Center. The Senior Center includes a large community room, multipurpose area, bathrooms, offices, storage and utility spaces and an unfinished kitchen. Site work includes septic, parking lot, and light hardscape and landscaping. Nearby is a 55+ community development, and active pickle ball courts adjacent to the project site. The Filed Sub-Bid categories are: Acoustical Tile, Electrical, Glass & Glazing, HVAC, Plumbing, Resilient Floors, Roofing & Flashing Proposers shall examine all information and materials contained in and with this solicitation. Failure to do so shall be at the proposer’s risk. The Town of Halifax reserves the right to waive any informalities or irregularities in the proposals received, or to reject any and all proposals, wholly or in part.
