G--Retreat Facilitator for Naval District Washington (NDW)

Description

The Contracting Department, Fleet Logistics Center (FLC), Norfolk, VA, 23511-3392 intends to negotiate a Firm Fixed Price contract, utilizing procedures under FAR Subpart 13.5, Simplified Procedures for Certain Commercial Items, for a Full-Time Retreat Facilitator in support of Chaplain Religious Enrichment Development Operation (CREDO). The emphasis of this position is on the development, implementation, execution and evaluation of CREDO workshops, the contractor shall not be limited to workshops and may be utilized as needed for retreat events. This position will involve approximately 80% workshop leadership and 20% retreat facilitation. The contractor shall be responsible for ensuring the accuracy, timeliness, and completion of the retreats, workshops, assessments, and reports in support of the CREDO program as required. This is not a Chaplain position; however the contractor shall be a credentialed subject matter expert with the knowledge, skills and abilities of seminary-trained professional clergy. Two years of professional experience leading CREDO programs is required to fill this position. That level of expertise is critical to creating safe emotional space for CREDO participants (many suffer from varying degrees of operational stress, post-traumatic stress, battle fatigue, and other forms of visible and invisible wounds) in varied CREDO program formats: a retreat in a weekend setting away from base in civilian clothes, or a workshop on base. This position requires extensive familiarity with CREDO, its programs and mission. The contractor shall assist Commander Naval District Washington (CNDW) Religious Programs Office as a professional facilitator and provide support services to the CREDO staff for command administrative consulting support to meet its mission of strengthening Fleet, Fighter, and Family.
